Education and training are important parts of the Park Physical Therapy experience. Patients must be empowered to help take care of themselves, expedite the rehab program and prevent further injuries. Our programs include:

Back and Neck School:
Teaching patients, industry and the general public about the structure and function of the neck and back. There are also demonstrations and supervised practice of proper lifting, posture and body mechanics, as well as occupational and daily living activities.

Cumulative Trauma Education and Training Program:
This training program attempts to address and answer several key questions:
  • What is CTD and what are the various forms of the disorder?
  • What are the symptoms and causes of CTD?
  • Who do you need to notify when the symptoms are experienced?
  • Why is early intervention important to manage the acute symptoms?
  • How does education in appropriate body mechanics and posture help in avoiding CTD?
  • What streching and strengthening programs can be performed to relieve tension and improve function?
  • What work-site modifications can be created to reduce the potential for CTD?

These programs are intended to give the participants the oppurtunity of practicing the techniques presented in the program in a supervised environment. Each participant receives a hand-out manual for continued reference and utilization.
