Park Physical Therapy Associates was established in September of 1977, by two energetic, caring, compassionate, and determined physical therapists
Frederick B. Hahn and Alfred F. De Palma.
They shared a common vision – ‘to create a privately owned out patient physical therapy center that would totally focus on providing superior patient centered therapy service's' . They believed that patients deserved more than what was routinely offered in PT hospital departments – hot packs, ultra sound, massage, etc.
Their vision was to establish a therapy model that would set a standard of service. A service so superior that it would separate their service far and above all the other PT services in the surrounding medical community by exemplifying - “Quality”. Their goal was eventually to be recognized as “ the First Choice in Quality Care for patients and referring physicians.
By pioneering new concepts in the delivery of their skilled services, they established a reputation as “Professionals who went the extra mile to satisfy the needs and desires of their clients.” They introduced a philosophy in therapy that changed the Focus of Care from treating a ‘body part' - to restoring maximal function for the whole person . Their caring approach was fostered and guided by their mission statement to:
• improve the health status of patients with an attitude of personal and professional caring.
• develop a compassionate, caring, creative relationship with each client by actively listening to their fears, desires, and goals.
• establish a ‘partnership' with each client and then artfully craft and deliver a personalized therapeutic program to achieve their desired functional outcomes.
• be committed in helping patients efficiently achieve goal-oriented outcomes to improve their quality of life
• skillfully and gently guide each client toward becoming an active participant in their wellness program.
• offer educational programs based upon accurate information to enhance awareness,
• encourage, and ultimately self empower each individual to take responsibility for their long term wellness.
The Practice has grown from one location in Highland Park New Jersey to a second location in North Brunswick, New Jersey. Both facilities continue to share the successful formula which has been their trademark since 1977 -
“giving and going the extra mile for client satisfaction”
